ABOUT
MISSION AND HISTORY
Big Sandy Safe Zone was founded in 2018 to create a safe place for eastern Kentucky's LGBT+ community. We offer groups and activities, resources for health and well-being, and connection to a great network of support all over our region.
We dream of a vibrant physical location where LGBT+ Kentuckians of all ages can come to be around people like themselves and share in fun activities.
We are trans-inclusive and anti-racist. We celebrate cultural diversity of all kinds. We welcome people of all class backgrounds and immigration statuses. We're keeping accessibility in mind and we welcome your feedback on how we can do better.
Check out our calendar for upcoming events, and email us at bigsandysafezone@gmail.com if you have questions, or if you know of a space we could turn into the Center.
